USA Today’s Evening Magazine show has profiled the voice behind Cortana, Jen Taylor, who started out on Halo and who is now the voice of the Windows Phone digital assistant in USA.
Jen, who is an iPhone user, seemed amused by the personality of her digital counterpart on Windows Phone.
"I don’t think I’m anything like Cortana frankly. I sound like her, that’s how I’m like her," she said.
She also denied any intention to use Cortana’s commanding and rather cheeky tone on her husband.
"I don’t think it would work frankly. Do the dishes honey. No I don’t think that that would work."
She also held no particular enmity to her rival, Apple’s Siri, saying if they met in a dark alley:
"Oh there’s gonna be no throw down. We’re gonna walk out arm and arm. We would be just trying to help each other."
