Joni Mitchell Said No to Biopic Starring Taylor Swift

-Project has been canned for years, but Mitchell has finally revealed why she squashed it

-Mitchell planned a 2012 adaptation of Girls Like Us by Sheila Weller

-Would have covered Mitchell, Carole King, and Carly Simon

-Would have starred Jessica Pare as Carly Simon, Allison Pill as Carole King, and Swift as Mitchell

-Mitchell ended up blocking the film: "I squelched that! I said to the producer, ‘All you’ve got is a girl with high cheekbones’. It’s just a lot of gossip, you don’t have the great scenes. There’s a lot of nonsense about me in books, assumptions, assumptions, assum­p­tions."



Sounds like she's more mad about the source material than the casting decisions
