Joe Budden Turns Himself In, Then Is Released From Jail, Charged With Robbery and Grand Larceny!





It’s been a hectic 24 hours for Joe Budden. Jersey City rapper Joe Budden, who appeared to post a number of tweets from jail today, has been formally charged with robbery and grand larceny.



The rap star turned himself into authorities this morning at the New York Police Department's 34th Precinct in Upper Manhattan, where he was rung up on charges stemming from an incident last week involving his ex-girlfriend, police spokeswoman Arlene Muniz said.



The 33-year-old Edgewater resident was wanted by New York police after he allegedly stole his ex-girlfriend's cell phone outside a Washington Heights restaurant, according to the New York Daily News.



A friend of the woman told mediatakeout.com he also bashed her head into the dashboard of his car and later choked her inside his home. He was not charged with any form of assault when he surrendered.



While in custody, Budden was able to tweet from his jail cell much to the delight of his followers. “So…. There is wifi here by the way,” he tweeted, according to NJ.com, before adding, “Let this be a lesson to all… never steal a cell phone that’s in your name. Smh… Justice will be served.”



















The rapper then posted an Instagram video of himself driving in a car after his release. While driving in his ride, Budden informing his followers in the caption that he’ll be at the strip club later in the evening.
