Moving into a new one bedroom in Williamsburg (from Dumbo) with high ceilings and huge windows, Matt and Allie had their own exciting design ideas but wanted a professional to help edit their layout plans (that's us).
A converted factory, the building is beautiful, their apartment is awesome, and the architectural details are amazing. Homepolish designer Will loved working with the couple’s great taste and their existing furniture was perfect for the space. Basically, it was a dream project for everyone involved.
Will loves working with high ceiling spaces because he gets to experiment with moving items off the floor and onto the walls. A gallery wall of framed mirrors hangs in the bedroom, the ceiling was painted dark gray and a hanging strategy for the couple’s existing art let them fall in love with their collection all over again. With space but no need for an in-home office, Will transformed the extra room into a very cozy cool lounge area by adding a daybed and stringing One Forty Three from the ceiling.
Will’s bright and chic suggestions for a couple’s space? “Let it reflect both people’s interests and make sure its practical for them both. By using pieces that are multifunctional and sized appropriately for your space, you can create openness in the floorplan.” Great advice from a talented guy!
