Whitney Houston’s (pictured here with mother Cissy) estate is auctioning off some of the late singer’s most personal items. Find out how you can get a piece of Whitney inside….

It’s been four years since the untimely passing of singing icon Whitney Houston. Now, her estate is auctioning off some of her awards, costumes, and memorabilia to give fans a chance to get their hands on a Whitney item in her memory.

According to Reuters, Whitney’s estate will be hosting a two-day auction in California later this month to sell more than 100 pieces of Whitney Houston memorabilia.

Pat Houston, Whitney’s former manager and president of the Whitney Houston Estate, issued a statement explaining why the estate is auctioning off her personal items saying:

"We felt that it was time to give something of Whitney to the people who loved her and her music and, conversely, who Whitney loved back with all of her heart and soul.”

Interesting, especially since Pat was always so overprotective about Whitney and her things falling into the wrong for-profit hands.

The auction will go down via Heritage Auctions on June 24th and June 25th in Beverly Hills to sell the items, including Whitney’s 1986 Emmy for her performance at the 28th Annual Grammy Awards, which is expected to fetch $10,000, and her personal script for the 1995 film "Waiting to Exhale," which could sell for $1,000.

So, if you’re looking to get your hands on some exclusive Whitney items, round up your coins and be sure to make your way to Beverly Hills for the event.
