Finding Carter tested a friendship tonight. When Bird (Vanessa Morgan) revealed a painting at an art showcase that featured Carter (Kathryn Prescott), Carter got upset and they got in a huge fight. Elizabeth (Cynthia Watros) and David (Alexis Denisof) fought about expenses when David said that he would buy Carter and Taylor (Anna Jacoby-Heron) a car. And…there was a big kiss.
Bird invited Carter, Taylor and Max (Alex Saxon) to her art showcase because she painted a special picture in which Carter was the subject. As soon as Carter arrived, Bird whisked her away to meet someone special, her art teacher. Meanwhile, Taylor and Max made small talk about crowds. Taylor awkwardly mentioned that she was not fond of large groups and to her surprise, Max agreed.
Everyone gathered around the painting — that was covered with a white sheet — before it was time for the big reveal. Bird mentioned that the reason the picture was covered up the whole time was because she wanted to wait until her muse was present.
Drum roll, please. Bird removed the sheet to reveal a photo of Carters face with half of it torn off — she looked like a half eaten zombie. Visibly upset, Carter stared at the photo, unable to understand why a “friend” would do this to her.
The next day, as Carter and Taylor walked into school, Taylor wondered if Bird’s painting would be hanging in the hallway. Confident, Carter told her that it would not be there because she asked her to take it down. Carter’s good mood did not last long, however, when she walked around the corner she saw hundreds of flyers on the walls with Bird’s painting on them!
As Carter began to rip down the flyers, Gabe (Jesse Henderson) volunteered to help because he realized that it would take her all day. When they finished cleaning up the hallway, Carter and Gabe made their way down the stairwell and Carter stopped because she wanted to say thank you. Instead of shaking Gabe’s hand or giving him a hug for a job well done like everyone else, she kissed him on the lips!
Unfortunately, their job was not done. Carter and Gabe were met with more flyers and an angry Bird who questioned when they world would stop revolving around Carter. The two got in a screaming match before Bird’s art teacher came out from a classroom and told them that all she wanted was a good show. After 10 minutes, the girls made up and went back to being best friends.
