There’s a lot going down in Arrow season 3 episode 15 before the next break between episodes, and that break comes after “Nanda Parbat,” which sees Malcolm end up right where he’s been doing everything he can not to be: in Ra’s al Ghul’s grasp.
But that’s just one part of the next episode. As the Inquisitr previously reported, when Ray suits up, he is not going to just jump right into it and be a perfect superhero, much like Laurel has had her problems since donning a mask. Still, according to TVLine, executive producer Marc Guggenheim can’t wait for fans to see the A.T.O.M.’s official debut, coming in Arrow season 3 episode 15, “Nanda Parbat.”
“This show is not Flash – we don’t traffic in these sort of visuals – so it’s a big deal for us to get this kind of character on the show, looking the way he does.”
While photos of Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer in the A.T.O.M. suit were released well before the episode’s premiere, much like the CW did with Katie Cassidy as Black Canary. The end of the promo (below) also teases the suit’s debut.
However, that’s not all that will have fans talking about when it comes to this Arrow season 3 episode, as TVLine has also reported that executive producer Andrew Kreisberg has teased that there is a “crazy cliffhanger.”
Furthermore, the site revealed that one of the characters is going to say, “It’s hard to remember a time when I was actually in love with you.”
Also, according to E! Online, there is “a huge scene…that is legitimately going to break the internet” and “involves Felicity.”
Are those last two spoilers related? Certain fans of the show – and specifically a relationship on the show – hope not. It hasn’t been that easy for “Olicity” fans so far this season, but could things just get worse?
In possibly happier news (or at least, in likely not life-threatening news), E! Online revealed that Laurel and Thea will talk this episode, but that conversation and their “reactions to the conversation will not be what you’re expecting.”
Remember, in the Arrow season 3 premiere, Sara was murdered, and it was then revealed in the midseason finale, “The Climb,” that Malcolm drugged Thea, made her susceptible to mind control and brought her back to Starling City just long enough to kill Sara – and retain no memory of the horrible event. That’s something that the team has understandably been keeping secret from Laurel, but in “The Return,” Oliver continued to be honest with his sister and told her the truth. Will Thea in turn tell Laurel? Is that what their conversation will be about, or could Thea just tell Laurel a version of the truth, say Malcolm’s role?
Thea is going to be making a big move, as the sneak peek and the producer’s preview the CW has posted (which you can watch below) shows her determined to see her biological father face justice for what he did. That means it’s time for a trip to see Ra’s al Ghul. That then leads to Oliver and Diggle going to Nanda Parbat to actually try to rescue him.
Guggenheim teases in the “Inside” look at the episode, “I don’t want to spoil the ending, but it is probably our most surprising twist since we stabbed Oliver through the chest and kicked him off a mountain.”
Only Arrow could find a way to (at least try to) top something like that in the same season.
Arrow season 3 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
