Instead of angrily ranting about the bad news on Twitter, according to TMZ, Chris Brown seemed to take the high road with a dignified and sophisticated message. Addressing his Canadian fans that were excited about seeing him perform, Brown apologizes to them and finds a clever way to raise hope about a future return to their country.
“The good people of the Canadian government wouldn’t allow me entry. I’ll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans.”
Chris Brown was scheduled to perform two shows in Canada – a Tuesday night show in Montreal followed by a Wednesday night show in Toronto. He reportedly claimed that both shows were sold-out.
Why was the 25-year-old singer denied entry into Canada? TMZ reports that the denial was likely due to Brown’s criminal record and history of assault.
“Canadian law dictates a person could be ‘criminally inadmissible’ if they have been convicted of a crime involving assault.”
Many of his fans and critics may have expected Brown to respond or react with blunt, expletive-filled rants, tweets and Instagram posts. However, it appears that he is sticking to his recent decision to avoid sharing his opinions and agreeing to interviews not related to his music.
I’ve given the world enough opinions. I’m not doing no more interviews unless it’s about my art or music. It’s nothing else anyone needs. — Chris Brown (@chrisbrown) February 24, 2015
Brown’s recent tweets and Instagram posts seem to prove that he is focusing exclusively on his music for now, including the recent release of his collaborative album with rapper Tyga titled “Fan of a Fan.”
