Movies geared toward moms are often saccharin-laden, "family is everything," 120-minute piles of mush that rarely qualify for anything higher than a PG rating. (No offense to Garry Marshall's Mother's Day.)
For those wanting a few choice expletives in their chick flicks, there's hope.
Imagine the effed-up-but-lovable characters in the movie Bridesmaids finally all settled down, got married, and had a few kids. That's what looks to be the premise of Bad Moms - a new R-rated movie starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn as a group of overworked, overstressed parents on a mission to liberate themselves from the idea that there's such a thing as a "perfect mom" (enter: Christina Applegate).
From the just-released red-band trailer, Bad Moms is sure to ring true to every woman who's questioned her parenting decisions, worried about her kids, or said to herself, "Every time I think of that big, dumb motherf*cker going off to college, I want to cry like a baby."
So, all you bad moms out there - the movie hits theaters July 29 . . . line up your babysitters now.
