Multiple sources tell Confidenti@l that the 21-year-old singer, who we reported earlier this month had wished death on a group of adoring fans while visiting a Manhattan radio station this summer, is now causing headaches elsewhere.
After the “Better Left Unsaid” singer performed on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, she hit the Out hotel on W. 42nd St., where she performed for a crowd of 3,000 mostly gay men. But Grande, who to her credit wasn’t paid for the gig, didn’t make it easy.
“Before she got there she made security clear out the entire lobby. Even if you were a guest at the hotel you had to clear out,” one insider tells us. “No one could sit in the lobby, but she came in the back. She took up a unisex bathroom with her mother and father and put two bodyguards outside.”
While near the bathroom, Grande was overheard asking hotel staff if they could “get rid” of the 15 paparazzi stationed outside the front door.
“She had an entourage of 21 people with her, maybe more. I stopped counting,” said our source. “Her mother was primping her and her brother was with her, too.”
We’re told Grande’s family was helping her change from a black ensemble into a white number for her 3:30 a.m. performance, which was at a club called BPM inside the hotel, and that one of her crew was sent to find Grande’s Swarovski crystal-covered mic pack, which she needed for the show.
“The hotel had been cleared from 1:30 a.m. on,” a second source says. “Ariana also took over a huge conference room and turned it into a dressing room. Basically, 3,000 square feet of hotel space was hers. You had to show your hotel key to get anywhere.”
We’re told the “Problem” singer also had her own camera crew and a small group of personal photographers with her documenting her every move.
The Boca Raton-born Grande has been exhibiting an obnoxious pattern lately, demanding she only be shot from the left side and refusing to answer unapproved questions, which she has denied on Twitter.
It’s no surprise that she’s under the tutelage of Justin Bieber’s smarmy mentor Scooter Braun.
A rep for Grande says: “Simply not true. She was there with her family, dancers (who performed) and three friends.”
