Blake Lively Lands on People’s Best Dressed List

It’s no surprise that she’s being honored for her personal sense of style, and Blake Lively is thrilled to be on People magazine’s Best Dressed List this time around.

The former “Gossip Girl” actress declared, “It’s such a passion of mine. That’s the reason I don’t have a stylist, not because I think I can do it better than any of these people, but because I just love it so much that it would be like handing over something.”

Further explaining her philosophy, Lively stated, “It would be like making a cake and then handing it off to someone else to ice and decorate. Why would you do that?”

And when it comes to devising a strategy for special events, Blake noted, “I look at the whole story when doing any sort of press tour or when doing multiple events, and say ok, how can I diversify these looks? [I want] to make them exciting but also not totally manic.”

Ms. Lively, who also happens to have great taste in guys (i.e. hubby Ryan Reynolds), has one ensemble that sticks out in her mind as a highpoint- her graphic Gucci Premiere gown that she wore to the premiere of “The Captive.” “It might be my favorite look I’ve ever worn. I just love that old school glamour.”
