She's my guardian angel! Hilary Duff reveals radio host Sophie Monk saved her after she was involved in a hit-and-run in Los Angeles



They famously became friends when they dated Madden brothers Joel and Benji in 2006.

But it seems Hilary Duff, 26, and 34-year-old Sophie Monk's friendship runs much deeper than that, as the Texan pop star says the radio host saved her after she was involved in a hit-and-run in Los Angeles.

In Australia, promoting her latest single All About You, the American beauty revealed the details of the incident in an interview with 2DayFM's breakfast show hosts Jules Lund, Merrick Watts and, of course, Sophie.



'I had a car accident and Sophie comes out of nowhere, on a rainy day in LA, like an angel,' said the A Cinderella Story star in the chat which will air on Wednesday.

'This girl hit me, she rear-ended me, and tried to run. And Sophie took her (own) car and blocked her off.



'I'm like "Sophie?" and she's like, "Oh my God, Hilary!"'

Meanwhile, quick-thinking Sophie rushed to her friend's rescue preventing the driver from leaving the scene and taking down the number plate.

The bubbly blonde who performed on Monday night's X Factor Australia went on to admit that her driving prowess leaves a little to be desired.



'I've had a few (accidents), mostly with my own house though. So that’s a good thing, it’s always best when there is only one person involved.

'I've hit my garage a few times. Sometimes I've pulled in too tight. I've always had a big car so I've pulled in and scratched it, things like that.'

Meanwhile, Sophie was clearly pleased to be back with her good pal, uploading a picture of the pair together, which she captioned: '@hilaryduff is possibly the sweetest person in the world! I would eat her if I knew how many calories she was.'

Hilary Duff Addresses Aaron Carter’s Undying Love

BuzzFeed asked Hilary: “Aaron Carter keeps declaring his love for you, how do you feel about it?”



Remember when Hilary Duff and Aaron Carter were a thing?



Here they were adorable



They were the tween-dream power couple of the early noughties. And their break-up was felt worldwide. But then Aaron Carter started declaring his undying love for Hilary this year, and things got so weird.

Here’s what he said…

>> Don't be that stupid douche that loses the love of your life forever.. Like me...

When a fan asked him if he was talking about Hilary, he replied “Sure am!”

>> I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think.



Today, BuzzFeed met with Hilary in Sydney.



And then we asked the big question: “Aaron Carter keeps declaring his love for you, how do you feel about it?”



Hilary: “*laughs* I was not expecting this question. He does, I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that. I don’t know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I’m still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just… ”

BuzzFeed: “… Don’t know each other?”

Hilary: “Yeah, don’t know each other… so… yeah.”

BuzzFeed: “So it’s just weird.”

Hilary: “*laughs* You said it, not me!”
