Victoria Justice was quick to label her leaked nude photos as fakes shortly after they hit the web, but now the former Nickelodeon star has issued a second response that seems to indicate that some of the photos were the real deal.
Justice was one of dozens of celebrity women targeted by a hacker or group of hackers in a recent massive dump of nude photos and videos. Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton confirmed that their stolen pictures were legit by threatening to take legal action, but Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, and McKayla Maroney tweeted that their photos were fakes. Victoria tried to inject a little humor in her response.
These so called nudes of me are FAKE people. Let me nip this in the bud right now. *pun intended*

However, Victoria Justice got serious two days later when she tweeted a much lengthier second response.
“Shortly after I tweeted about certain pics of me being fake, I was faced with a serious violation of privacy. There have always been fake photos of me on the internet, but I will not be put in the position to defend myself as to what is real or what is fake. I am angry at this massive invasion of privacy, and like the other women who are in this situation alongside of me, I am taking legal action to protect my rights.”
Victoria Justice’s second response might be an admission that she has real nude photos out there, but it’s not an admission that she lied in her first tweet. This is what happened: the first photos that were leaked really were fakes, and Justice even retweeted a photo proving that one of them was digitally altered. However, a second round of nude photos was leaked on the web shortly after her response. These are the photos that likely prompted the star to take legal action.
GUYD WE ARE SO STUPID THE VICTORIA JUSTICE NUDES ARE FAKE, LOOK. CLEARLY AN OLD PICTURE OF HER EDITED & FLIPPED. http://ift.tt/1lDkjl1 — Domi | 38 (@JusticeCosgrove) August 31, 2014
It’s possible that the photo leaker released the first batch of fake nude photos and waited for Victoria Justice to deny that they were real. He then released a set of legit nude photos just to make Justice look bad. Violating Victoria’s privacy was bad enough, but the hacker tried to humiliate her further by attempting to make her look like a liar. Judging from some of the ugly tweets about Victoria Justice’s first response, this possible ploy worked.
@VictoriaJustice They aren’t fake, there’s lots of proof they’re REAL you liar! lol

It’s pretty disgusting that Victoria Justice is getting so much Twitter abuse because of something illegal someone did to her, and the worst thing about these accusatory tweets is that she really was telling the truth the first time around — she simply didn’t know that the hacker was in possession of any real nude photos.
A source recently told Hollywood Life that Victoria Justice was “flipping out” over the leaked nude photos and that she had second thoughts about the way she responded to the scandal. She probably regretted her first response when she realized that real photos of stars like Kate Upon and Jennifer Lawrence were being leaked on the web.
What do you think of Victoria Justice’s response and the Twitter backlash to it?
