Almost a year after giving birth to son Otis Alexander, actress Olivia Wilde openly wrote about her post-baby body in the April issue of Shape.
On the cover, she flaunted her sexy postnatal figure but in her essay, she compared her body to a ‘deflated pool toy.’ She also described feeling like a ‘walking wounded‘ after delivering a baby but elatedly shared that she ‘couldn’t wait to do it again.’

Wilde gave birth last April 2014 and in the article, the actress candidly wrote about her experience.
“After giving birth, I joined the ranks of millions of new mothers when I moaned, ‘Why do I still look pregnant? Is there another one stuck in there?'”
Wilde made her readers realize that motherhood is the same for everyone and there are no exceptions even if you are a Hollywood star. Like any new mother, she admitted that her body is not the same as it was before she gave birth. However, she warmly accepted this change and even attributed her seductive cover to good lighting.
“I am not in perfect shape. In fact, I’m softer than I’ve ever been, including that unfortunate semester in high school when I simultaneously discovered Krispy Kreme and pot. The photos of me in this magazine have been generously constructed to show my best angles and I assure you, good lighting has been warmly embraced. The truth is, I’m a mother, and I look like one,” the actress explained.
Wilde was very blunt as she talked about her intimates.
“First of all, you haven’t seen your v*gina in months, even though it’s all her fault you’re in this situation,” she wrote.
“Now that you can finally confirm that she is, in fact, still there, she isn’t the gal that you remember, and would rather you back off and give her some space (and an ice diaper) for the time being, thank you very much.”
In the article, the actress also revealed some of her fitness secrets. Throughout her pregnancy, Wilde did Pilates and at 8 ½ months, she also did SoulCycle. After giving birth, she finds time to exercise and enjoys 2Fly, a form of dance fitness workout. She assured her fellow mothers that the baby weight does eventually come off and that breastfeeding is a huge help to lose postnatal pounds.
