Bouygues Telecom now supports carrier billing

French carrier Bouygues Telecom has announced that it will now support carrier billing for Windows Phone handsets.

The feature has been enabled via a partnership with net mobile AG, and lets Windows Phone users pay for digital goods such as applications and games easily and securely via their mobile phone bill.

“The fact that Bouygues Telecom has chosen us again, confirms our excellent cooperation over the past 12 months. The recent launch is part of our global expansion strategy in the Direct Carrier Billing sector” said Sebastian Böhm, Vice President for App Store Payment Solutions at net mobile AG.

Direct payment via a mobile phone bill is the most popular payment method worldwide, and in some markets leads to an up to 3 times increase in app sales.
