We've recently seen the launch of venues such as the Dubai Opera and Autism Rocks Arena, where performances from the cast of Les Miserables and Elton John have been announced respectively.
Now the Middle East is going bigger an better with an entertainment venue to rival, not only them, but the likes of London's O2 Arena and LA's Staples Center.
In 2018, music and sports fans will be be gracing some of the 20,000 seats available inside Dubai Arena, a new venue that funnily enough will be managed by its international rivals. Meeras - the company behind Dubai's CityWalk - has dubbed it the biggest touristic destination for global events and live shows in the region.
It will span over a massive 46,000 square meters.
"Dubai Arena will host famous and world-renowned athletes, artists and performers and attract tourists to Dubai all year round," Abdulla Al Habbai, Group Chairman of Meraas said. "It will also host large global events and performances that have not visited the region as yet, due to the lack of a suitable platform for holding similar events."
