Peaches Geldof Home Untouched: Husband, Sons Still Living With Extended Family

Peaches Geldof's home untouched since her death

Peaches Geldof’s home has been untouched since her death last April, reports indicate. The country home that Peaches shared with her husband, Thomas Cohen, and their two sons apparently hasn’t been lived in since her passing months ago.

According to Hello!, the Wrotham home in Kent, England, sits empty now with the grounds unkempt and a baby stroller still sitting by the door. Peaches Geldof’s home seems untouched since the 25-year-old was found dead of a heroin overdose.

Though it is not believed that the property has been put up for sale, it also seems that Geldof’s husband has felt unable to return to the home. It is said that he and his two boys, Astala and Phaedra, are living with family in London. Cohen reportedly asked his mother to go to the home in Wrotham to collect some family belongings.

Geldof’s death reminded many of Peaches’ own mother’s passing. Paula Yates died due to a heroin overdose in 1996. As Yahoo! Celebrity shares, Peaches’ father Bob Geldof recently talked about his daughter’s death and how he does blame himself.

Bob said that Peaches was “super bright, too bright.” He believes that she “knew what life was supposed to be” and she “tried very hard to get there and she didn’t make it.” Geldof says that he’s the father who is responsible, yet he failed his daughter.

Geldof adds that he did talk to his daughter about her problems, and he did more than talk, but he still believes he could have done more. It’s clear that he wishes he could go back and do things differently and that the grief is still very raw. Though Peaches’ drug issues were not a secret, her overdose and death seemingly caught not only fans but her family off-guard.

Now, months after her death, Peaches Geldof’s home is untouched. The Daily Mail notes there are weeds and leaves throughout the yard, and bags of garbage sitting by the door. The children’s swingset stands still, as does the tire swing in the yard.

Though Geldof had taken methadone for more than two years prior to her death to try to keep her heroin issues at bay, she reportedly had started using heroin again a couple of months before her death. Cohen had indicated that he had seen Peaches flushing drugs down the toilet after having hidden them in the loft of their home, but Coroner Roger Hatch found that she had taken high-purity heroin at a fatal dose shortly before her death.

Many of the presenter’s fans remember her frequently sharing photos of her boys around their home, a place she clearly loved. Most find it understandable, but sad, that Peaches Geldof’s home is untouched months after her April death.
