Variety Publishes Gross Article About Renée Zellweger's Appearance

  • The author starts the article by writing about how we go to see a movie and sometimes notice something different about (usually) the actress what usually leads to the "did she or didn't she?" question.

  • Says that even after the whole 2014 mess about Renée Zellweger looking different on an event he was caught off guard by her looks, affirming he didn't think she didn't look like Renée, but that she didn't look like Bridget Jones!!!! The horror!!!

  • Claims that actors can look however they want, but their characters become part of us so he felt like something had been taken from him!!!!!

  • Then goes on to pretty much bash Renée's looks by claiming that her case in special was sad because she was the poster girl for the "we're beautiful the way God made us" ideal.

  • Says it was groundbreaking to have an actress that looked like her to play a secretary in a Tom Cruise movie (thelordistestingme.gif) because she was beautiful like an ordinary person and not like a Nicole Kidman.

  • Continues to then add a new layer of meaning to the "You complete me" phrase from 'Jerry Maguire' claiming that such thing being said to someone like Renée Zellweger meant that what completed him was reality.

  • Eventually makes a point by mentioning how the Nina Simone biopic mess with Zoe Saldana failed because maybe Hollywood wrongly thought that a woman who looked like Nina couldn't sell a movie, but it was justalittletoolate.mp3.

  • Feels like when actress look too different they feel less present on screen and hopes the 'Bridget Jones' sequel "turns out to be a movie that stars Renée Zellweger rather than a victim of “Invasion of the Face Snatchers.” I hope it turns out to be a movie about a gloriously ordinary person rather than someone who looks like she no longer wants to be who she is."
