Kate Middleton in 2014: Duchess Continues to Work Less Than Any Other Royal

The start of a new year can be a good time for self-assessment. It's a chance to reflect on the year that's passed and ask yourself if you were as active and productive as possible.

Of course, if you're a member of the royal family, you don't have to assess yourself; you've got the Daily Mail to do it for you.

And if you're Kate Middleton, the tabloid would like to take this opportunity to remind you yet again that you're a lazy bum.

The Mail published its annual breakdown of events and appearances by the 15 "working royals" today, and for the fourth year in row, the Duchess of Cambridge came in dead last.

Sure, Kate is pregnant with her second child, and she spent a good portion of the year suffering from extreme morning sickness, but that still doesn't account for how little work she did in 2014.

Kate participated in just 76 "public duties" in the past 12 months. To put that number in perspective, Prince Charles (the "hardest-working" royal) participated in 450 engagements.

Queen Elizabeth II - age 88 - conducted over 375 public duties. Her husband - 93-year-old Prince Philip - turned up at more than 200 events!

So what's Kate doing with all that free time? Sources say she "rarely" spends time with Prince William, yet she's been going light on royal duties ever since they got married.

Maybe 2015 will be the year that the Queen finally puts the kibosh on Kate ordering pizza and hanging out Lebron on the palace dime while doing jack squat in terms of work.

Kate and Will attended an NYU fundraiser last night. As usual, they were both the picture of class.
