Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes: Not Breaking Up, Just "Super Private," Source Claims

Last week, several tabloids claimed that Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes were "barely speaking," and that the A-list couple was on the verge of calling it quits.

Sources said that while Eva gave birth to baby Esmeralda just three months ago, she and Ryan's attempt at a happy family life had failed miserably, and they'd had almost zero contact with one another during the several weeks that Ryan was in Atlanta working on a new film.

Now, "insiders" are telling E! News that everything is A-OK in Ryan and Eva's relationship, and there's a perfectly good reason that Eva kept her distance while Ryan was in Atlanta:

"Ryan and Eva are super-super-super private," says one source close to the couple. "The last thing they'd do is bring a baby, who's barely 3 months old, to a film set teeming with paparazzi."

"Ryan specifically wanted it like this - with paps following him in Atlanta, they're mostly leaving Eva and the baby alone."

The insider adds that Ryan and Eva "spent a wonderful Christmas together" in the company of their extended families.

As for the rumors that Ryan and Eva are planning a wedding? Also bogus.

"Neither feel the need to get married," the source claims. "It's just not a huge priority for either of them. They know what they have."

So there you go. They're not breaking up, getting married, or at each other's throats. Sigh. When did the world's most attractive couple get to be so boring?
