Liberace Will Tour The World Again As A Hologram—What Dead Artists Will Be Next?

Liberace Holograph To Go On World Tour

If you’re a big Liberace fan who never got the chance to see the famed pianist perform, you are in luck.

It’s being reported that Liberace will be going on a world tour, beginning with a “return” performance in Las Vegas, Nevada.

If you’re scratching your head at Liberace doing anything because he’s very dead, then don’t be puzzled.

The artist will be returning to life in the form of a hologram.

Hologram USA is said to be behind the effort to restore Liberace to life for this global endeavor. It’s not yet known how the effects will work or which cities will be on the schedule.

What is known is that the Liberace hologram was created by some of the same minds behind the surprise return of Tupac to the stage at Coachella 2012.

They will apparently allow the Liberace hologram to put on a complete performance for his fans. The holographic Liberace will even interact with audience members at certain points during the show.

Jonathan Warren, the chairman of the Liberace Foundation made a statement about what those who will show up for his concerts can anticipate.

You’ll feel the warmth from [Liberace’s] heart, the sparkle of his eye and the pure lightning from his fingertips.

Apparently it’s through the Liberace Foundation that this is possible as the organization gave Hologram USA heaps of footage to work with.

Will Liberace wish his brother George were there to perform with him? Will George actually show up?

It seems that very little is beyond the realm of possibility with this ever advancing use of technology.

Reports indicate that Liberace will not be the only deceased artist making a comeback in the next few years.

Hologram USA is being very tight-lipped about the matter, but it seems there are plans to bring back a host of deceased artists to entertain the masses.

Apparently the company has a “slate of celebrity resurrections” planned over the course of the next month.

There have been whispers that we could hear from legends like Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, the latter of whom returned to moonwalk as a hologram earlier this year.

Depending on how well these returned artists are received, it could lead to an explosion in demand for deceased artists. It could also lead to an unexpected source of competition with living artists.

All sorts of questions arise from the use of holograms to bring dead artists such as Liberace back to life to perform.

Who will get what share of the profits? Will persons who didn’t see the artist perform during their lifetime get an experience truly worth the money?

No doubt as the technology improves, so will the credibility of the hologram on stage. But it could be that the hologram will remain a poor substitute for the human connection provided by a truly living artist.

Still, nostalgia can be a powerful motivator. It’s very likely that quite a few Liberace fans will turn up for a chance to experience at least a form of the famed pianist once more.
