Tessa Thompson In Ashi Studios – 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Tessa Thompson attended the 24th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (December 1) in New York City.

The newbie on the rise collected the Breakthrough Actor Award wearing a very unique Ashi Studios look consisting of a strapless dress embellished with hand-cut cashmere flower motifs, sequins and crystal stones paired with a gazar silk cropped overlay with flowing train by Saudi Arabian couturier Mohammed Ashi.

Already oozing superstar confidence on the red carpet, this look was a bold move. She could’ve taken the easy route by just wearing the strapless dress, but what would be the fun in that?

You say not enough celebs take a risk, so by wearing the overlay, does this enhance or lessen the look? I would have to firmly say the former.

Jimmy Choo silver glitter pumps (which don’t enhance the look), Realm jewels and a hot-red pout completed her look.
