The world might be used to seeing her gallivanting around the globe's various Fashion Weeks but it's in the Middle East that Gigi Hadid feels at home. Palestinian-American, Gigi - who was raised in Los Angeles, California - revealed that the region feels very familiar to her. Wondering why? The star - who is the girlfriend of Zayn Malik - has relatives in the UAE.
"Coming to the Middle East, it always feels like home," she told Gulf News tabloid! on Monday. "I've got family here, even in Dubai."
Gigi was in the Emirate as part of Tommy Hilfiger's #TogetherTour and took part in a Marina yacht trip with influencers as well as an appearance at The Dubai Mall. Later the 21-year-old brand ambassador and model met with some lucky fans for a meet and greet, following a fashion show at the world's largest mall.
"Obviously I couldn't have asked for a better platform to start with than the Tommy Hilfiger brand," she said. "That gave me the opportunity to learn so much from them, and kind of get my feet wet and then I can go execute it myself."
