Ciara has officially begun her start at working the hardest job ever: being a mother. And as the singer is about to learn, “nothing prepares you for motherhood.”
The new mom gave birth to nine-pound bundle of joy, Future Zahir Wilburn, on Monday, but wasn’t discharged until Wednesday. Ciara took to Twitter to express all the happy feelings she’s experiencing as a first-time mommy leaving the hospital with Future, Jr to begin her journey.

Proud papa Future also chimed in with a shoutout, while calling Ciara his ‘wife’:

The rapper/producer predicted to reporters on Tuesday that Ciara will make an awesome mom.
She’ll be a great mom. She’s working at it every day and over time, I think she’ll be the best.
Unfortunately, Future had to jet off to New York City, a day after the baby was born because he had already committed to a Bacardi Rum event, however, he’s still fulfilling his daddy check in duties on the road.
She’s with our son right now [in L.A.]. I just texted her when I got off the airplane, and I’m going to get on the phone with her to see how everything is going.
As for if he’ll be changing any diapers:
I’ll make sure I change a few diapers — a hands-on Dad!
So far, Lil Future looks like a mixture of both him and Ciara. We can’t wait to see!
