Grey's Anatomy Season 10 Episode 24 Recap: Farewell to the Greatest

Grey's Anatomy Season 10 Episode 24 saw Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang appear for the final time after multiple Emmy nominations and many more memories.

We knew going into the season that it would be her last on the long-running medical drama. The question was how, and why, her character decided to leave.

In the end, Grey's Anatomy Season 10 Episode 24 served as a fitting farewell for Yang, so emotional without overselling it while believable and heartfelt.

Dancing it out with Meredith one last time and telling Alex not to become Dr. Junior were just two of the moments that stood out during her swan song.

Her farewells from Derek, Bailey and Webber were all superb, but as she waved goodbye to Owen, you could feel how crushed both were inside.

It was as if Owen and Cristina's looks spoke for the actors - and viewers - as well as for the characters as one of the all-time greats was heading out.

Longtime viewers likely noticed that Meredith and Cristina's last dance was to a Season 1 soundtrack tune - Tegan and Sara's "Where Does the Good Go?"

The answer is Zurich. She goes to Zurich. We wish her the best.

Meanwhile, Meredith decided she wasn't moving to D.C. and Derek felt she was asking him to choose between an incredible job opportunity and his family.

Also, Bailey found out that Webber recommended her to fill Cristina's seat on the board, but she left her shares of the hospital with Alex, so ... there's that.

Grandmother-to-be Catherine Avery calmed down the frazzled April a bit, while Callie and Arizona decided to use a surrogate to give Sofia a sibling.

Oh, and Cristina's replacement is Richard and Ellis' daughter, or so it appeared. That's right, fans ... we could be seeing Meredith's half-sister. Again.

If you watch Grey's Anatomy online to see the finale in its entirety, what you'll experience is no doubt an emotional rollercoaster, but the perfect type.

No serial killers, deaths, or actual terrorist threats. Just a fitting goodbye to one of the show's - and all of TV's - best characters that will live on forever.
