2014 is the first year to go by without a Pixar film since 2005. But the beloved animation studio will make up for it next year with two releases. Today, we have new story details on the first of them, Pete Docter‘s Inside Out .
The film centers on the five emotions competing for control within the mind of a young girl.Amy Poehler voices Joy, Bill Hader is Fear, Lewis Black plays Anger, Mindy Kaling is Disgust, and Phyllis Smith rounds out the cast as Sadness. The new Inside Out synopsis reveals a bit more about the conflict that unfolds between them. Read it after the jump.
The updated Inside Out synopsis was revealed on the official Pixar website.
For even more about Inside Out, read (or reread) our report on last year’s D23 presentation. Whatever happens with this movie, no one can fault Docter for lacking imagination or ambition.
Inside Out opens June 19, 2015.
