Keanu Reeves Signs On For “Rain” Television Series

He’s been mostly staying behind the scenes in recent years, and now Keanu Reeves is stepping back into the spotlight with a brand new TV show.

According to Slingshot Global Media, the “Matrix” hunk will executive produce and star in “Rain,” based on Barry Eisler’s New York Times bestselling book series.

A rep from Slingshot announced, "We are extremely excited to be working on a beloved property with such a talented and hard-working actor as Keanu. This series will be the launch pad for the company and highlight our talent-focused, quality-based approach within the ever-changing and expanding television space."

And Keanu chimed in, "As a huge fan of Barry's work, I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to bring his iconic character and incredible world to life. I'm looking forward to partnering with Slingshot on my first series, and reteaming with [producers] Chad and David."
