Sam Smith Wants to Collaborate with Chris Brown, Hates Tinder and Grindr

We're pretty hooked on Sam Smith's album here at GLAMOUR, and it's not just us - this year he's cracked America and found a fan in Chris Brown. The R&B star posted a parody of Sam's hit Stay With Me on his Instagram page last week, and it seems Sam liked it so much that he'd like to collaborate with Chris.

Having heard the cover, Sam told radio show In:Demand at V Festival: "It was amazing, I love it. It's really weird because I'm a massive fan of his music. I love Chris Brown's music so much, yeah. I'd love to meet him so possibly, who knows? It would be cool to collaborate."

So there we have it - if the feeling is mutual we could have a Chris x Sam collab in the charts soon. Watch this space.

Sam Smith has urged single guys and girls to quit Tinder and Grindr after he landed himself a new boyfriend without the need of a hook-up app. The Stay With Me hitmaker told how the cruise apps were making it all too clinical before he went out and pulled the old-fashioned way.

‘No offence to people who go on Tinder but I just feel like it’s ruining romance, I really do,’ he said.

‘We’re losing the art of conversation and being able to go and speak to people and you’re swiping people.’

The British singing sensation says there is no substitute for chatting people up in the flesh and says looks count for nothing – especially online. ‘From my experience the most beautiful people I’ve been on dates with are the dumbest, so why would I swipe people who are “unattractive” when I could potentially fall in love with them?,’ he explained. ‘Stop Tinder and Grindr!’ And the romantic’s anti-cyber approach has paid off, although he refuses to name the lucky fella.

‘I’ve been on a couple of dates. I’m good at dates,’ the 22-year-old explained on the In:Demand show backstage at the V Festival.

‘I used to get really nervous but now I’m better. There is one particular guy that I’ve been on a few dates with. I like him but who knows?’
