Reports of Kate Gosselin being a terrible mom and person are a dime a dozen, but she's putting her kids in physical danger, according to a new rumor.
Kate recently tweeted proof she is ignoring the safety warnings on the John Deere Gator she purchased, and allowing her kids to drive the adult ATV.
Gosselin told her 219,000 Twitter followers Sunday that her 14-year-old daughter, Mady, “drove our gator on a neighbor’s driveway - 2get chicken food!"
"Let’s just say, I’m NOT going to make a good driving teacher.”
Kate was referring to a John Deere Gator 4×2 Electric tractor that she gifted to her eight children during the June 26 finale of Kate Plus 8: The Sextuplets Turn 1.
John Deere warns to “never allow a Gator to be operated by anyone younger than 16 years old,” with a label citing the potential risk of “death” with misuse.
At 14, Mady is ... not 16. What more can you say about it?
Are critics overreacting? Probably. Maybe Mady and twin sister Cara are totally proficient in handling the vehicle, and better drives than most adults.
We have no idea. Maybe it's true and maybe it's not.
But if Mady, Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah get behind the wheel, or ride along with them, that elevates the level of risk by a significant margin.
For someone who says she runs a tight ship, Kate is also asking for the haters to spew venom at her with brazen examples of running the contrary.
Between this and rumors that Kate Gosselin and Steve Neild are hitting it (again), it's been another interesting week for the Kate Plus 8 rumor mill.
What will turn up next as it continues to churn?!
